My skull hurts

So, I bought some hair barrettes in hopes of being able to attach some skull beads to them. I used wire: meh, a little too wiggly. I bought crafter's glue: didn't think to get some that dried clear. Dang it!!

Should I just bite the bullet n buy a hot glue gun?!
